In 1999, I graduated Valedictorian from the College of Visual Arts with a BFA in Drawing. After doing some freelance illustration work for the Science Museum of Minnesota, I found myself in a corporate office job, missing the independence of working creatively.

Fortunately, over the years I was commissioned to draw portraits of colleagues’ children, and this kept me in touch with my art and vision of self-employment. In 2006, I decided to leave the office and concentrate fully on the creative work.

Although my current specialty is children’s portraiture, I’m looking to explore more opportunities in science/nature and book illustration. Please check back for portfolio updates and site additions.

I live in St. Paul, Minnesota, with my husband and cat, working out of a sunny studio in the three-season porch.
