I’ll send a letter outlining our agreement. When I receive it back with your signature and a 50% deposit of the commission fee, I’ll begin work on the portrait.
Please allow up to six weeks for the drawing to be completed.

Materials
I draw from one or more source photographs using charcoal or pencil - and sometimes a watercolor or acrylic wash - on Strathmore Illustration/Bristol board.
Artist's Original
If you live in or near the Twin Cities, I would love the opportunity to meet with you and shoot the casual source photos of your child at your home or other comfortable location.
$50 additional fee plus $0.15 per mile from St. Paul.
From Your Photo
Send or email your photo and I’ll let you know if I can work from it. Photos that are clear and in focus work best. Also, I find that pictures with the kids NOT looking directly at the camera often make the most interesting portraits.
Framing
For protection and longevity, I recommend that portraits be kept on acid-free matboard and enclosed behind glass in a frame. If you would like me to have your portrait professionally framed, I will take it to Frameworks in St. Paul. We will discuss your preferences before I place the order.
$30 additional fee plus the cost of the framing package
Delivery
I will let you know as soon as the portrait is finished. For clients in or near the Twin Cities who paid for the photo shoot, I will personally deliver the finished portrait to you. All others will be packed, insured, and shipped through UPS.
